I Was Featured in Glamour Magazine!

Since giving birth to my son, I'd be lying if I said it's been easy or simple to keep up with all the things I was doing pre-baby that I enjoyed. Things surely have changed. :)

As tough as it can be some days, I wouldn't change being a mama for anything in the entire world. Being a mama is divine, hard work. It's a big blessing and I've earned that small wins are still big wins when your heart and passion are collectively intertwined.

You can never lose when you do things from a place of excitement, passion and love. You always grow and you always win.

So, what have I kept doing since pushing out this happy baby boy aside from breastfeeding, changing endless diapers and singing and rocking tirelessly to bed?

I've been writing. I've never stopped.

I write on my phone when my laptop keys are far too loud and baby is near. I write at all hours of the night when I feed him.

I write in my journal, on the back of scrap paper, in notebooks, journals and on this blog. I text myself ideas and thoughts and goals. As much education as I consume, I try my best to create and share with my writing.

Why do I write?

  • Simply because... I have to.

  • Because I love it.

  • Because it feels like freedom.

  • Because it's who I am.

  • Because it makes me feel good to help other women in similar situations.

  • Because I am a writer and one day soon, I will be an author.

So, what news do I have to share?

Well...I was featured in Glamour Magazine!!! Yes, me!

Quite possibly one of the largest public magazines I've ever been featured on and that for me is exciting. It's a big deal and this mama is proud of herself.

Want to check it out and learn a bit more about me, my story and my journey into motherhood?

Read it here and then come back and share your biggest takeaways! I'd love to hear from you. Or, if you prefer to privately message me -

Here's your daily dose of inspiration:

Go take that first step and do what you love. Even if it's raining. Even if you work in a crummy job you hate. Even if you're parents don't believe in you. Even if your boyfriend sucks and doesn't support you. Go take that first big step. Believe in you. You never know where it will lead you one day!

With love and gumption,

Violet
